Introducing search history and share links, plus a week of updates
Pick up an investigation where you left off: reopen recent results for free, share them with a link you control, and switch your history off whenever you like. Plus network checks for phone numbers, a redesigned site and Thai.
L'équipe OsintCat
You can now pick up an investigation where you left off. Reopen your recent results for free, without running or paying for the search again, and share any of them with a link you control. Your history is yours: switch it off or delete it whenever you like.
Search history is the biggest of 15 releases we shipped this week. We also added paid network checks for phone numbers, redesigned every lookup page, account settings and billing, rebuilt the site for every screen size, added Thai as our 12th language, and made sure a failed lookup never costs you anything.
Here is everything that changed, starting with what you're most likely to notice.
Search history and share links
Investigations rarely end in one sitting. Until now, coming back to a result meant running the search again, and paying for it again.
Your recent lookups now appear under History in the sidebar, so you can find one by what you looked up or by module and open the result exactly as it was. Reopening is free and does not run the search again.
You decide what stays. Switch off Save my search history at the top of the History page and new searches are not kept at all; delete any search, or all of them, whenever you like. Otherwise searches are removed automatically after a year, and their results sooner, depending on your plan:
| Plan | Saved results | Kept searches |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 7 days | 5 |
| Starter | 30 days | 25 |
| Researcher | 90 days | 100 |
| Investigator | 180 days | Unlimited |
| Max, Team and Lifetime | 1 year | Unlimited |
Press Keep on a search you want to come back to, and its result stays until you remove it.
Any search in your history can also become a link. You choose who can open it (anyone with the link, or only signed-in users) and how long it works (until you revoke it, or until a date you pick). Passwords, hashes and tokens are masked, like hu••••2, unless you choose to show them. People who open the link see the result as it was saved, so nothing runs again and nobody is charged. The Shared links tab lists every link you've made, shows how often each was opened, and lets you change or revoke it.
Phone Intelligence: network checks
Phone Intelligence can now check a number on the phone network itself. Three paid checks are available from the new Network check tab, or from the end of any phone result:
- Porting check: which network the number belongs to now, even if it was moved from another carrier.
- Full network report: whether the phone is switched on right now, which network it's on, and whether it's roaming.
- Number type: mobile, landline, VoIP and other line types.
Phone results also got better. They combine two data sources, show each fact once in a single Number Details overview (carrier, line type, country, and whether the number was ported), and accept numbers however you type them, with spaces, dashes, brackets or a 00 prefix. A number that can't be read no longer uses up a lookup. Landlines show one clear line type and aren't offered the network report, which only works for mobile phones, and a report the network could not answer is not charged.
One design across OsintCat
Lookup pages. Every lookup module, from Minecraft Lookup to IntelX, now shares one layout. What the tool does is at the top, and results appear as cards that are easy to read. Each page shows your free lookups left today, the price of a lookup and your balance, in green, amber or red, so you know where you stand before you search. IP lookups show location, network owner and open ports, VIN decoding shows the vehicle instead of raw data, Footprint scans show matches while they run, and more modules can export to Excel, CSV and JSON.
Header. A new one-row header fits every screen size, with your balance and plan side by side. On phones, language, theme, basket, search and lookups left live in the account menu.
Account settings. Settings are grouped by topic, with a menu on the side and one setting per row, so every control sits next to the text that explains it. Your signed-in devices are listed most recent first, with Show all for the rest.
Billing. Your plan, payment methods and billing history are now in one clear layout that also works on phones. Payment dates show in your own time zone, and top-ups are labelled as top-ups.
Store and notifications. The store has a clearer period selector and checkout for buying, gifting and redeeming plans. Notifications are grouped into cards, and codes can be copied with one click.
Profile pictures. Every account can have a profile picture. Upload a PNG, JPEG, WEBP or GIF up to 8 MB, or use the picture from your linked Discord or GitHub account. It shows in the header, on your account page, in support tickets, researches and issue replies. Every picture is cleaned before it's stored, so no location, camera or other metadata is kept.
Meet the team. A new page at /about/team introduces the people who build OsintCat and answer your tickets.
Built for every screen
We checked every page on 22 real screen sizes, from the smallest foldable phone to ultrawide monitors, and reworked each one that didn't fit. Menus, tables and forms stay usable on phones, tablets and phones turned sideways. Researches give the list and an open research the full screen on phones, and the dashboard sidebar can be minimized to icons.
The support button now stays out of the way. It moves above bars at the bottom of the screen, slides away while you scroll on a phone, and tucks into a small tab when it would cover a button or help text.
We also improved accessibility across the site: higher text contrast, clearer labels for screen readers, larger tap targets, form fields that don't make phones zoom in, and better readability in light mode. Every page now announces its language, so screen readers use the right voice in all 12 languages. Finally, we went through every page for text and boxes sitting too close together and gave each one room.
Thai, and every page in 12 languages
OsintCat is now fully available in Thai, from the dashboard and every module to billing and the legal pages. Thai text uses the site's own typeface.
With Thai, every module, the bulk lookup, billing and account settings are translated into all 12 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Thai, Chinese and Japanese.
You only pay for lookups that work
If a paid lookup fails, the charge now always goes straight back to your balance, and the page tells you that you weren't charged. This covers every module, including Breach Universal, IP and DNS, Roblox, Minecraft Leak Search and the AI Copilot. Bulk lookups now cost exactly the price shown, and balances are always kept in whole cents.
When something does go wrong, you get a clear explanation, a button to try again, and a short reference you can quote to support so we can find exactly what happened.
For long lookups (Universal Breach Search, Discord OSINT and Machine Viewer deep scans), Notify when done lets you leave the page and get a notification with a link back to your results.
AI Copilot
The AI Copilot can now use every lookup module, and a lookup it runs that fails is refunded automatically. When one AI service is busy, the Copilot switches to another on its own. On phones, its menus stay on screen, including with the keyboard open.
Faster and more reliable
- Faster pages: pages read from the database nearest to you, ship less code, and need fewer round trips.
- Fonts per language: each language downloads only the font it needs, about 300 KB less on most pages.
- Images: the home page image starts loading straight away, and sign-in pages show their background sooner.
- Fewer errors: fewer "service unavailable" errors at busy times, and a cause of random sign-outs is fixed.
- Fresh after every release: public pages update everywhere as soon as a release goes out, on every device.
Payments and your account
- Card check at sign-up: a €0.00 verification with your bank. Nothing is charged, and the card is saved for later.
- Billing details: you're reminded when a saved card is missing its billing name or address, so future payments aren't declined.
- Gift codes: gifts between accounts, and codes you buy and redeem yourself, are credited straight away in almost every case.
- Deleting your account now waits 30 days. Sign in during that time and you can restore it with one click.
- API: rate limits follow your account, so all your API keys share one budget (3 requests per second by default).
- Contact: legal and privacy requests go to [email protected], security reports to [email protected], and help requests to [email protected].
Other fixes
- Email OSINT shows the real accounts it found instead of a list of empty "None" entries, and answers faster when a source is down.
- The home page opens in your language, and shows Dashboard instead of Sign up when you're signed in.
- IntelX shows results as soon as they're ready.
- Twitch and Reddit profile details display correctly again.
- Exported files always get a proper name and file extension.
- Referral rewards for a friend's first purchase are granted correctly.
- Lifetime plans no longer show a Cancel button.
Availability
Everything in this post is available today, on every plan and in all 12 languages. How long search results are kept follows your plan, as shown above.
